Notorious Runway Productions, Inc. is a multi-level community involvement fashion and entertainment company. Founded in 1986 under the entrepreneurship of Norman Cole, Founder, Producer and CEO who is also the Choreographer for Notorious Runway Productions, Inc., which established itself as a community grass roots organization through the affiliation with small businesses, neighborhood commissions, civic groups and other community organizations.
NRPs vision and goal in line with its Producer and CEO, Norman Cole, is to provide young people an opportunity to showcase their talents in the fine arts through community, civic and social events participation, and to provide scholarships for deserving college students Mr. Cole recognized that young adults and teenagers needed an avenue that would allow them the opportunity to integrate into mainstream society through community participation in the fine arts.
Specializing in Event Consultation, Planning and Management, the company provides a full range of services including a Modeling Camp for the youth that emphasizes confidence and self-esteem building and strengthening leadership skills. Participants are instructed on runway modeling techniques, coordination and showmanship
As a result, over 5,000 participants have participated in a myriad of independent fashion and entertainment productions at various organizations including: The Maryland National Capital Park and Planning Commission, The Department of Housing and Urban Development, The Budweiser Urban Scholarship, as well as, various sororities.
In an effort to touch the lives of more people and to expand the company's reach beyond the Washington Metropolitan area, NRP hosted a Maryland Cable Television Show entitled "Real World Networking" in 1993. This expansion allowed approximately 20,000 viewers throughout the Washington DC Region to witness community networking at it finest.
Finally, in 2004, Notorious Runway Productions, Inc., established a program to raise funds to support a scholarship fund that would that would provide college scholarships for students with a 2.5 Grade Point Average. So far, four scholarships has been awarded to students at Howard University, Morgan State University, and The Eastern Shore University.
